Christian Formation

Childcare for Infants and Toddlers

A nursery is available for children from 3 months through age 3 from 9:00 am until noon on Sundays. Childcare for children ages 3-10 is provided from 9:00-10:15 am so parents can attend choir rehearsal and Adult Forum.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes for children ages 3 - 6th grade resume on Sunday, September 13th. Children will gather with their teachers from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m when they will join their parents for the Eucharist. The Pre-School class (ages 3-5) will be learning basic bible stories, simple songs, and beginning prayers. The Primary and Intermediate classes will begin the year by learning about Creation and Stewardship of the Earth, using a program developed by Leader Resources. They will continue with a study of Old Testament heroes; Deborah, Samson, Gideon and Samuel. All children are also invited to participate in special events at St. Andrew's including the Blessing of the Animals, the parish retreat at Shrine Mont, the Lantern Walk, St. Andrew's Day procession and potluck, the parish Christmas party, and no-rehearsal Christmas pageant.

Youth Group

The middle school and high school Youth Groups will begin meeting at 12:15 pm on the second and fourth Sundays of the month for fellowship and discussion. Lunch will be provided. The group also meets for a variety of activities including movies, games and service projects on weekends and Friday evenings.

Adult Formation

The Adult Forum meets from 9:30-10:20 am every Sunday from September through May. Discussions cover a wide range of topics. Each lesson is self-contained, so you may join at any time. Topics to be covered during the fall include Forgiveness and Reconciliation; Stewardship; and Advent themes in Music, Literature and the Arts.

Bible Study

The Tuesday evening Bible study group will be studying the prophet Isaiah, starting September 8th. We meet in the Rectors' Lounge at 7:30 pm on alternate Tuesday evenings. Everyone is welcome. No previous Bible study experience is necessary. Contact Nancy Maestri at nemaestri@aol.com for more information.

Education for Ministry

The Education for Ministry (EfM) program is designed to help lay members of the church discover and develop their ministries. The St. Andrew's group has graduated eight members from the four-year course. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 - 9:15 pm in the Rectors' Lounge. Contact Nancy Maestri for more information.
